Our Free Care Program provides you with up to 12 weeks of home care support at no cost – for anyone stuck on the home care package national waitlist for 6+ months.
It's our way of giving back to the community we serve and helping you when you need it most.
Step 1
Fill in the form at the top of this page or call our team to discuss your situation & care needs.
Step 2
We complete all the necessary health & safety reviews and get you signed up.
Step 3
We begin coordinating your weekly visits to get you that extra helping hand.
Light cleaning duties, such a vacuuming, mopping the floor, or cleaning surfaces.
Help with washing your laundry and folding clothes.
Our Care Companions can help you collect your food shopping, or do it for you.
Need a hand in the kitchen? We can help you meal prep your food, or cook for you.
Looking for someone to keep you company? Our Care Companions can offer friendly conversation and emotional support.
The aged care system was extremely overwhelming to navigate after my brain operation, until Narelle from Sai introduced me to the Free Care Program.
Since then, my support worker Jess has been incredible — helping with tasks I can’t manage, like washing, changing the bed, and reorganising cupboards, while still involving me so I feel part of everything.
She’s also guided me through the system, eased stress on my family, and the chats we have mean the world.
Sai has stayed in regular contact, and they're the only Home Care Provider that's actually offered help. Even if it wasn’t free, I’d still be thrilled. Their care has been second to none.

The sign-up for the Free Care Program was so simple. Narelle brought the paperwork out, we sat down with a cup of tea, and we signed it then and there.
It really is a brilliant idea. If you can’t get that help, it feels overwhelming — like nothing is ever going to happen. This program takes away that feeling.
Before, I was caring for my husband on top of everything, and it was exhausting. Now, I can still do a little bit myself, but having support makes such a difference.

Yes. You need to be approved and on the waitlist to be eligible.
No, you can cancel any time without costs or penalties.
As a local provider, we’ve seen how stressful the waitlist can be on families in our community. This is our way of giving back and making life a bit easier while you wait for your package to start.
